anyone else having trouble accessing the eq2players site? i'm getting a forbidden page when i try to to access it. i tried direct and linking, nothings working...

It's a sign from above - play WoW instead 😀 Seriously, Sony's treatment of paying customers is deplorable, you'd be doing yourself a favor... that said, I'm getting the same thing, so it's probably an error of some sort on their end.

Same thing here as well. I think it has to do with getting everything ready for the release, quite a bit of everquest2.com is also giving error messages.

I love how people just troll with stuff like 'SOE sucks'. Did he ask for your opinions? If you have nothing constructive to say, why not just click 'back' on your browser.

Why dont you do some searching on my EQ2 posts lamer.. SOE doers suck its not trolling its fact..
PS EQ2 EQ1 and SWG all sucked after SOE put thier hands on them...

I have tested EQ2 and its not worth the time or the effort let alone the cash to buy it and play it..
WoW is superior.. Bliz cares and knows how to run thier business better than SOE ever has.

Because the OP is going to make a mistake that will cost him money and be a bad enough experience to disenchant him not only from EQ2 and Sony, but possibly from mmorpgs in general - which would be unfortunate, as the genre can be excellent entertainment if properly implemented.

Blizzard isn't perfect, only offering a superior competing product. They have their faults, such as that their games tend to attract young children - though to be honest Sony has been doing a good job of that as well.

Also have to say, it's quite funny that the official site was down on the day the game launched (and still is, as of 7pm EST 11/09). Says all you need to know about Sony's complete and utter lack of competence. They even screw up crossing the Ts and dotting the Is...
