EQ Pangs

Just had an addiction flashback to my days of EQ, made me even stop by my old guild web page and drop a hello. Anyone ever get these pangs from time to time?

also, is EQ1 even a viable game to play again? (not that I would, I don't have the time, just wondering)

heh sometimes.

quit EQ2 about a year ago. had a strong urg to play again but was able to beat it!

just waiting for another game to come along. don't wan't to get into WOW

Occasionally, they can get really strong when I'm drinking 😛 I quit in early 2004 because the magic had left with Brad. I only stayed as long as I did because it took Sony a while to fully ruin it. I don't see the point in playing it now, it's just another Sony/SOE game. It's funny, I quit WoW last week and I've been having a lot more EQ flashbacks 😕

when it gets bad for me (usually) is music. I remember listening to a specific playlist, and when somgs from that come up all at once, I can remember running through zones thinking "OMG...gonna die, gonna die, where is the zone!"

I briefly went back to EQ after quitting it. Remembered why I quit the first time and never went back. Never had a pang.

This was around the time of the first expansion pack.

I still maintain good contact with my MMORPG buddies, we all played AC, AC2, DAoC, WoW together, I consider them to be good friends, we get together once a year or so around the country.
