Question Epyc 7742 ES or 7B12?

Hi,

New to the forum but saw a few conversation regarding the Epyc 7742 ES and 7B12.
I was wondering for those that have those cpus if they saw big differences bewteen the two?
The stepping sample seem to be same between both, should be be a drop in solution for most epyc motherboard.

Any other information regading them would be helpful!

I don't have either but the biggest difference I can see is the TDP, 225 vs 280. That drives the base frequency of 2.60Ghz for the 7H12 and 2.25Ghz for the 7742.

So if this will be in a small case and cooling may be an issue get the 7742. If you have room for better cooling then the 7H12 would offer more performance.
