Do you know if the ink fades on this? I had the Canon i850, and the ink faded on all my pictures in 2 years.

Although I have already mentioned it in the past, your sig really ROCKS 😀

Epsons ink has a longer longevity than Cannon's (100yrs vs 20yrs) but the Epson Heads clog more often...

I had this printer at one time. It eats ink for lunch! Everytime you turn it on or off, it goes through an initialization phase. It does a cleaning of the heads and uses ink in the process. After only about 15-20 times of turning it on/off, it will have wasted 1/4 of the ink in each cartridge. Official refills are about $79 for a set of cartridges. Outrageous for such little amount of ink in each cartridge. If you do get the printer, buy a CIS(continous ink system) for it and use third party ink.

Printers are a gimmick these days. They give you the printer for $50 and charge you major money for the consumables. What I started doing is just throwing away the printer after it is done with the ink it came with. Then I go and get a new cheap printer.

OP, thanks for posting this. $59 for printer with ink, is cheaper than the refills itself. I will order a few of these and store them in my closet. After each printer's cartridges is done, I'll throw away the printer! Maybe if more people did this, the printer manufacturers would wake up and stop charging so much for ink!

I just picked one up from Sam's Club- cheaper than this but had no ink, so this is probably a better deal. Third party ink from eBay cost me about $25 for two complete sets. Nice printer.

I like the printer but yes the Ink is a pain. I used to get Ink through Megatoners.c*m, but hey seem to be gone.. Anybody else wanna clue me in on some dirt cheap Ink?

Clok

Great Deal on a good CD-DVD printer!

You're not actually throwing away the printer, are you? Give to a charity & write off on taxes.....

This is a great printer, had one for years. Buy the ink from Swift Ink, looks as good or better than Epsons.

I have had mine for a few year without cloggin heads at all. It doesnt eat ink as one said above. I print like mad and can get alot done. If swift ink isnt your thing and want to print out a butt load without needing quality prints then you can get 12 (2 full sets) of ink for $28-30%+Shipping HERE
And save even more if you buy 24 (4 sets) 😉

BUT if your like me and want great prints equal or better then OEM ink Swiftink is the ones to get. I have tried what I have linked for I have alot of swiftink I have bought and wouldnt be able to test them against swift or the others for a bit.

I've had this printer for a few years. I got it particularly for the print on CD/DVD thing, and it does that, and occasional printing quite well.

*Not* the choice for volume printing, though. As others have said, it eats ink. Only turn it on when you're gonna use it. If they haven't changed things from when I got it, it comes with full ink.

Also, text documents come out fuzzy. Photo text is fine, but if you're printing a page off the Internet, the text was ALWAYS fuzzy no matter how much you messed with the settings. I used mine primarily for CD/DVD printing and also for photo printing, since it takes a variety of sizes of paper.
