Hey everybody, i was surfing and i notice you guys discussing about the cartridges. Can you guys or any1 recommend me a good site (i would prefer US) where i can get some cheap ink cartridges for my Lexmark Z52 printer? Also i'm thinking about buying a new printer, would the Epson C80 good?

Thanks all for the sites with replacement cartridges! That will make the price per page way cheaper than 4 cents on the Epson C80.

The only question I have is if the generics listed use water proof inks or just ordinary inks. I notice they are more expensive than many other generics which leads me to believe they are. At worst, I can simply remove my official Epson cartridges and store them until I need something which I want to ensure is water proof, and use the generics for general printing and stuff for my kid!

For anyone interested in buying a new printer, the Epson C80 got editors choice in December 26 PC Magazine's inkjet printer review. Inks are water proof - a big plus!

The Canon S300 is the best printer for your needs, you can get it for $80, and it prints text extremely fast. It's printhead is seperate from the ink cartridges but its replaceable unlike your Epson.

It's about the most frugal printer in regards to ink out there, plus you can find generic black ink tanks for $5!!!

Seriously this is a great printer, Consumer Reports rated it #1 or #2, and it has a Cnet approval rating of 90%.

Sounds good to me. As I mentioned earlier, my roomate's printer is a Canon (BJC4300) and he never has issues with it. I'll look at the Canon you mentioned. Thank you!

Where do you get YOUR ink cartridges? Gotta link to cheap ink? Sorry. Couldn't help myself. 😉
