Well, if you read past the end of the article, you might then read that the author worked for HP.

Which magazine allowed this nonsense? It'd be nice to know.

In your research Mac, how does Canon's new pixma series compare with the Canon i960? Would the i4000 be its newer brother? Cause its real close in price. Hmmm...perhaps not?

I was just at Best Buy today, and they said the Epson 300s were on clearance now since Epson is going to roll out a new product to take their place. I still got one of the last ones they had there, but I was still wondering what was going on.

Are the Epsons the only printers that can print to DVD/CD? I wish Canon and HP would come out with ink jet printers that can do that. I kind of shy away from Epsons because their text quality doesn't seem as good as HP's.

There isn't much to printing on DVD/CD but I think Epson has some patent that keeps Canon and HP from releasing it in the United States. If you buy in the UK and europe then you get the addon.

Just need to find a gray market supplier. 🙂

I went to my local BB intending to buy this if the price had come down below the op. Well, still at $179.99 at my store. But, there were a stack of Canon i960 on the top shelf with no floor model or price. Asked the CSR to price check and the Canon came up at $129.99 with a clearance message. Based upon my research, this seems to be one of the top photo IJP's. You may want to check it out.

According to a Canon rep I spoke with, the DVD/CD printing feature is available on the Asian market Canon printers...comparables would be the I860, I960, and I9000 (?). There is a tray that ships with the Asian comparable models, however, I searched everywhere and there is no replacement part listed, that I could find. Nothing on EBay.
