Epson 777 problem. Possible to return to Epson for replacement?

Epson 777's have these little pins in where the ink cartridges go to read a small chip on the cartridge to ID it and to keep the printer from working if the hip says the cartridge is empty. Well, in removing a cartridge, one of these pins caught on something somehow and got badly bent. Now the printer can't ID the cartridge, and won't print. Is it simple to RMA stuff to Epson? Or should I try to repair it myself? I'm unsure of rebending the pin too much for fear of breaking it. Any advice?

When did u buy it?

It probably helps a bit more if it is on warranty...

Ok, an update on it. I got it 6 months ago on the forums here. I did manage to find an e-mail, and I did get a reply. Looks like I will be able to get a replacement for it. Thanks for looking here though. I'll update this thread to let everyone know how it goes. So far I'm impressed with Epson's response time. I sent the e-mail last night around midnight, and they replied today at 8:10am.

lol, my friend was cleaning a clogged head with a wet paper towel, and it got jammed in the feeder. something screwed up during removal. fortunately, epson was nice enough to ship him a new one. all he had to do was ship them the dead one.
