I don't want to spend money on a new printer for college, help me fix the one I have PLEASE!

1) It doesn't print color, I took out the color cartridge and I tapped it and inke on all 3 colors comes out.

2) If I want to change the color/black and white cartridge it won't let me. I go through the routine and procedures but the damn tray never stays still! It keeps moving so I have to forcibly keep it still.

It prints black just fine.
