<< LiLxJohnny: I've had BAD luck with Newegg refurb. motherboards: (1) Asus A7M266 Spent 2-3 weeks trying to get it to run, never did, then RMA; (2) DFI AK76-SN (KT266 chipset) worked first time out of box, still running, very good motherboard; (3) EPoX 8KHA+ would not post, or even come close - RMA - replaced with a retail one which worked immediately, and is great. So, my results: 1 good out of 3 (33%). >>
Dude (vsfoxe, that is), I am glad your AK76-SN worked fine, but c'mon you should at least know the actual name of the chipset it runs on (AMD 760) since you own the board and have it working!
Mmmm, could it be that these are brand new but they're selling them in the refurb section cause they're clearing them out since they are selling the new version 2.0 now? This could explain why they have so many in stock.
from what I read, All 8KHA"+" version starts off with Rev 2.0, Rev 1.0 was for 8KHA, since both boards got the same layout. According to posts at amdmb.com, people suspect Rev 1.3 is an Engineering Sample version.... if it's true, who know how much problems these boards will cause...
Good new(?) Appearantly, Newegg used to sell the non-Refurb version of Epox 8KHA+ "Rev1.3" , but they all turn out to be Rev 2.0! Hope this keep true for refurbs
<< Where do you get the amount that newegg has in stockk. I've looked all over and could never find it. >>
Add ONE to cart, and then update the quantity to 99. If they have more than 99, it will stay at 99, if they have less than 99, it will drop down to the appropriate number.
I've had good luck with newegg's refurbished mb's. I bought four I believe and all of them were fine. However, I did get a bad refurbished harddrive from them but I was able to RMA it for a new one. So I actually got a new hd for half the price. One thing to consider is that newegg's warranty is only 30 days but many times the manufacture's warranty lasts much longer.
Does the VIA chipset still have problem with SBLIVE? or any other thing? I have a ECS K7S5A and it is running great. But i am thinking to build one more computer and this board sounds like a good deal.
Alex
by the way, I bought a 8500 Radeon refurb from newegg and it was a horrible experience.

I got this same board refurb from Newegg about three months ago for about $20 more. I'm using a SB Live X-Gamer 5.1 with no problems.
