EPOX 8KTA3pro Run without the Chipset fan?

Simple question Can I run my 8KTA3pro Without the Chipset fan attached?

I will be overclocking... Fan is Quiting on me Safe to run just with the heatsink?

I'm running the 8KTA3 with the fan taken off and I'm fine. However I'm not overclocking.

If you're overclocking, you DEFINITELY need a fan or at least a quality Zalman heatsink

You can have long term issues with the board as the chipset is slowly cooked. I suggest a fan or atleast a larger passive heatsink.

I should be fine I have a case side window with a fan 80mm blowing directly on the chipset...

Much better than the crapppy nosey chipset fan.
