Epox 8KTA3 Availability

Can anyone point me to a reputable site that has the Epox 8KTA3 in stock and not cranked to an ungodly price? 🙂 I've tried all the usual sites and they are either on backorder or selling it for 20$ more than the retail price. I've done a pretty exhaustive search already, and haven't found anything.

I'm starting to wonder if I'm gonna end up changing my mind on what mobo to buy if the 8KTA3 doesn't become available soon 🙂 One of the reasons i'm buying it is because the price comparison to the Abit KT7A - my other option.

lynncomp.com seems to be a decent place to buy,
I've purchased an 8kta2 from em and it was
shipped in reasonable time, but when I emailed
the guy to inquire about the 8kta3 availability,
the guy was very rude in his response.

Checking the resellerratings confirms that a "lot"
of people think the guy's dependable but a jerk.

With that said, you're not buyin the guy himself, so
it might be a viable source for the board.

For me tho, rude people suck, so I'll pass on lynncomp from now on.
 
Just ordered mine (8kta3) with another 800 duron.


Wish you could get a dual MB with duron 800 that would be sweet. lol

 
Have you guys read the review of the 8KTA3 Anand put up? The board layout sucks....

Go with the K7T Turbo or the KT7a
 
Aw bullsheeeit.......

Just kiddin.

I hopped on the MSI bandwagon along with everyone else, after
havin an 8kta2 in my box running flawlessly from day 1.

The MSI has not been the worst board I've used by any stretch
of the imagination, but the experience has taught me some things.

namely, when something works "DON'T CHANGE IT!!!"

The MSI has frucked up power management settings "can't seem to get my machine
to wake up, when a request to my webserver is made, no matter what setting i use"
and i like to just jiggle the mouse when i come to my machine, this one seems
to want u to hit esc to make it come aalive etc.......again, i've experimented
with the bios settings to no avail.

also: the board seems to choke on my usb mouse, other sytems like my mouse,
this 1 hates it (others have said the same with ms's opticals) go figer.


I'm gonna try the new 8kta3.
 
As far as layout is concerned it just like 8KTA2. Which i have had no problems with overclocking,stability,etc... So if you like abit go buy it. Its all user preference. But for me I haven't had no problems with 8kta2 so i can't complain. For anyone who is looking into 8kta3, bunta.com will have them instock on thursday. I pre ordered mine couple of days ago and a rep from bunta called me to let me know they will ship on thursday. So get your boards now if you want them....

Care to expand on your statement concerning MSI and Epox?
Which epox did u have?
I've had both and preferred the Epox 7 days a week and twice on Sunday.

It gave zilcho problemo to mwoi'

So EXPLAIN YERSELF!!!
