Epox 8KHA+ MB Question

I have an Epox 8kha+ MB with 2x256MB PC2100 sticks of Crucial. I have one slot left for memory. Can I use a 512MB stick of Crucial in that last slot.

I remember hearing that I cannot do this. But I was wondering if it's a fixed rule or a flexible one. Can this MB use different denominations of memory?

Read your manual, it should have a short blurb on this. I am pretty certain that as long as you have one stick in each channel, it will run in dual channel mode and you CAN throw another stick in the extra channel without disabling it - at least that is how nForce2 works...

There is no 'dual channel' on this board.

You can throw in any combination of 64-512M modules you want.

In the early days of the KT266A chipset many of the reviewers were having problems populating all 3 slots. This was not just on the Epox board, but others as well. You can try it, but if it start acting flaking take out one of the 256 modules. You may want to take a peek at the archives at anandtech and tomsharedware to see if it was an issue with the 8KHA+.
Yes you can use different denominations of memory.

According to Crucial UK you can use 512mb on their memory selector here .

I would email Epox to confirm it will be ok to use in the third final slot.
