epox 8kha+ c3 error code

i was happily playing q3 when it totally froze, i tried to reset and i got a c3 error code on my mobo. i'm going to try swapping ram in a bit, but does anyone know what that is? the book says ram related, but i'd be interested to hear if anyone has any experience with that (i also had a c5 error code too, all post-crash). thanks!

ok, tried it with 2 different sticks of ram, and with everything unplugged, and after clearing the cmos using the jumpers. same error.
what do we think now?

Have you tried booting with just one stick of ram?

*edit* or tried just one stick in different slots / rotating between you different sticks too?

didn't work. ok, i'm gonna drive 30 miles to the nearest fry's to exchange this soon; is there any chance that i don't have to do it?
