Plugged in the printer booted up loaded driver's and everything was fine. Shut it down for the evening, fired it back up in the morning and it wouldn't even boot. Fiddled with it a little bit and unplugged the printer. Everything works fine now. Printer and cable work fine on another machine I have using the same motherboard. Printer is an HP 890 using parallel port.

Anybody seen this yet?

This is an issue that has been mentioned somewhere in the forums before. I didn't have the problem, but I have heard other have. I think a BIOS update or something fixed it. Check Epox's website and maybe search the forums. Happy hunting!

Yeah, this isn't just you, it's a known problem. Go to the epox motherboard on amdmb.com and search for epox printer, and see what you come up with. From what I read I'm not sure there's a fix for it. Yikes, I have an 8k7a too (but no printer). Actually, I knew about this before I bought it.

Funny posts at the pcstats link! :)

Either send us your board (rma) or buy a better power supply:D

It is a known problem and is very common. Your options are to upgrade your psu, but that isnt guaranteed, or send it to epox for a fix.
