Do these support the latest AMD processors? Which one is the best in your mind? I've narrowed my choices down to these. I like the price range (~$80).

I don't plan on overclocking but being able to do so in the future would be nice. I will probably be using a 1 ghz Duron or a non top of the line Athlon (1ghz-1.2ghz)

My vote goes for the Epox 8K7A, the AMD 761 chipset is extremely stable. While the KT266A chipset is slightly faster, the 761 is just plain bulletproof. The Epox board is well known for running a high fsb without any voltage mods. Also the cpu core voltage goes up to 2.25v by simply penciling the L7 bridges, or 2.15v without, no mods required.

i've been runnin a stable 8k7a since august. great mobo. however, the epox 8kha is NOT the VIA Apollo KT266A chipset. you're thinking of the epox 8kha+. the 8kha+ is RAID ready and is seems to be the favorite around the boards.

while I haven't built any systems based on the 8K7A, I have used Epox boards with excellent results and can attest to their quality and stability. I'd never used a Shuttle at all until I decided to build the AK31A for myself and my personal experience with it is that it's a price/performance jewel. I've been running it 24/7 for about 3 weeks now with a 1500+XP@150x10=1.5ghz and not a single glitch since and I crunch ECCp 24/7, game, use flaskMPEG, ect.. So, I would think either the 8K7A or AK31A will make you a happy camper.

I have an Epox 8k7a with an Athlon XP 1600 and I am very pleased with my board. I was running at 1627.5 last night 155x10.5. It ran Seti for 3 hours before it locked up. May be a ram issue. But this board is great.

Have had no problems with the AK31A. AMD XP 1800+, 2 512M Kingston memory. Have not tried OCing.

If, later on, you want RAID, you can get an ACARD 6880, as I did. Has been working fine. The price of the m/b and the ACARD is not much more than a RAID m/b.

If you dont care about RAID I really love my 8KHA+. It is very stable with my 1.2 Athlon and with the XP1600 I just put together for a freind.
