Epox 8K7A, Revision 1.0 and AMD XP 2000+

Anyone running this board with this processor?

Epox's recommended processors page (ftp://ftp.epox.com/support/motherboard/cpu-support.pdf) doesn't show this processor as supported by this board, however it also doesn't show the 1.4GHz AMD Tbird (266MHz FSB) that I've been running since July 2001 as supported either!

I'd really like to upgrade to the 2000+. Any suggestions?

Thanks!

I can't seem to get 12.5 to work correctly either. (Rev 1.1 8k7a) With DIP switch at 12.5, system boots at 12. All the other multipliers work fine.

Yes, I have latest BIOS installed. Running Athlon XP 1700+ currently. Connected the L1 bridges (5 in total).

Anybody get an answer, or try a 2000+ XP on the Rev 1.0 8K7A yet? Is it compatible?

Just once I'd like to be able to upgrade my cpu without having to upgrade the motherboard too. 😛
