I was just wondering if any other 8K7A users are able to run consistently with AGP4X mode on while overclocking the FSB? Currently, I have my FSB slightly overclocked to 137 (any higher than 140 and my 3com NIC craps out
). Even at 137 though, AGP4X will not work, and any D3D game or software (WinDVD) will immediately lock up. So right now I have the BIOS set to AGP 1X/2X.
Is there any tweak which will get AGP4X to work? I heard something about setting the AGP ____ size from 4 to 64 or something along those lines. For the record, I am running the most recent (480) AMD AGP miniport driver with the 4.32 final VIA drivers for the Southbridge systems.
UPDATE
I heard adjusting the AGP voltage could also have something to do with it? Can anyone verify this as being accurate?
