Epox 8K7A overclocked with AGP 4X on?

I was just wondering if any other 8K7A users are able to run consistently with AGP4X mode on while overclocking the FSB? Currently, I have my FSB slightly overclocked to 137 (any higher than 140 and my 3com NIC craps out:( ). Even at 137 though, AGP4X will not work, and any D3D game or software (WinDVD) will immediately lock up. So right now I have the BIOS set to AGP 1X/2X.

Is there any tweak which will get AGP4X to work? I heard something about setting the AGP ____ size from 4 to 64 or something along those lines. For the record, I am running the most recent (480) AMD AGP miniport driver with the 4.32 final VIA drivers for the Southbridge systems.

UPDATE

I heard adjusting the AGP voltage could also have something to do with it? Can anyone verify this as being accurate?

I'm having the same problem as well. I'm using the 8K7A + Leadtek GF2 Ultra. I'm currently running it at AGP 2x with my FSB at 145MHz.

I have my bios setting at AGP 1X/2X, although in Powerstrip I have it set up to AGP 4X and it's running fine now. Though I have a feeling Powerstrip is lieing to me because I didn't think it would be capable of overriding the bios setting. Is it possible to force AGP 4X in software if the bios is set to AGP 2X?

Turning it on in bios simply yields the same problem with games crashing as before. I was just wondering if Powerstrip was able to enable AGP 4X safely while overriding the bios setting?
