I installed my EPOX 8K7A+ Motherboard and I have the following two qestions.

1. When I perform a cold boot I receive the error message:

"The System is in Over Clock Fail."

"Please setup CPU Host Clock in Freq/Voltage Control Setup."

I set the Frequency/Voltage Control to the following.

Autodetect - Disable
Speed Spectrum - Enabled
CPU Clock - 133

I tried many different variations and I still receive the same error message.

On a System Restart or a Warm Boot I do not receive this error message.

2. I have some Hardware incompatibilities with the Diamond Viper II AGP Graphics Card.

Are there Hardware issues that anyone knows of between the EPOX 9K7A+ Motherboard and the Diamond Viper II AGP Graphics Card?

Everytime time that I reload the Diamond Viper II Drives, it hangs the Computer.

3. I cut down my list to the two major problems that I have.

I would appreciate it if I can receive some answers to these two problems that I have.

I have the following Computer System Components.

EPOX 8K7A+ Motherboard.
AMD Athlon 1.4 GHZ CPU.
PC Power & Cooling Mid-Tower Computer Case.
PC Power & Cooling Silencer 425 Watt ATX Power Supply.
PC Power & Cooling Computer Case Front And Back Silencer Fans.
Cooler Master EP5-6I11-A1 Heatsink And CPU Fan.
256 Megabytes DDR RAM.
Western Digital 26 Gigabyte IDE Disk Drive.
Plextor UltraPlex SCSI CD-ROM Drive.
Plextor Plexwriter 16/10/40A CDRW Drive.
Adaptec 2940UW SCSI Disk Controller PCI Card.
Diamond Viper II 32 Megabytes AGP Graphics Card.
3COM 10/100 NIC PCI Card. - Used For Networking And DSL.
US Robotics 56K Internal PCI Modem.
Sound Blaster Live PCI Sound Card.

Did you try setting the CPU clock to 100 instead of 133, I beleive you are running it to high when it's at 133, the 1.4 has it on the chip to run at 133 automatically if I'm not mistaken.
Also disable the Speed Spectrum.

Yeah i get that same error message at times(Actually I have only gotten the message 2 times). My 1.33 AMD is overclocked to 1.50Ghz. Whenever I get that message I just reboot and everything is fine. Not sure what exactly causes it...

I've gotten it twice also. Once was a warm boot and once was a cold boot (after being off all night). I can't figure out a reason for it to happen. I have all my clock settings on auto with a 1.2/266 T-bird.

I have now reset the EPOX 8K7A+ Motherboard's Frequency/Voltage Control to the following:

Autodetect - Enable
Speed Spectrum - Disabled
CPU Clock - 133

I am not receiving the System Boot Up OverClocking Error Message anymore.

I need to know are there any known Hardware Conflicts with the EPOX 8K7A+ Motherboard and the following two Cards.

Diamond Multimedia Viper II AGP Graphics Card.
Sound Blaster Live PCI Card.

I am having problems with the Diamond Viper II AGP Graphics Card.
