Epox 8K3A+ question

I have an Epox 8K3A+ with a gainward geforce 4400. Sometimes the video will get screwy, all scrambled and discolored. Fiddling with the video card eventually stops this. whats the problem? defective motherboard? bad motherboard design? The geforce 4 is fine, it ran on my asus cusl2 flawlessly. power is not a concern either as i have an antec true 430 watt power supply. Should i return this motherboard?

one possibility is that the video card is not properly seated. trying reseating the video card in the AGP slot.

i had this problemtwith an older system of mine where the mobo wasnt exactly aligned with the case, so everytime i put in a video card in my AGP slot, i couldnt even post. so i fiddled with it and finally got it to post. Then took a marker and outlined on my case where the video card needs to be aligned in order to work. no problems since.
