EPoX 8K3A+ (KT333) review!

<< Good find! Nice review if you're patient...too bad the site is slow as molasses.. >>

Thanks!... the site was fast earlier Insane3D,I guess they have more people going there now, it looks like a nice board too bad no big difference over it`s older KT266A brother anyway we all knew the performance would not be much over the current KT266A boards.I bet I know some people that will buy it and see how far it will OC 😉.

Is this that new math I've been hearing about?

i got my ep8k3a 2 days ago. okay to start with - crashed a few times - wouldn't boot after that = dead. the board wouldn't do nowt.
returnin it of course but i'm thinkin of trying another type. don't want the iwill xp333 as the performance is similar to my ep8kha+
???????????

Went for the Epox 8K3A (Don't need RAID). Using Samsung PC2700/5NS memory.
Currently running an XP1700+ @ 302FSB, System clock is 151.
Ran for 1 day at XP1800 rating, this is the start of a new day at XP1900 rating. Actually only a tick from XP2000.
No problems.
No voltage increases.
CPU temp 49.5 C as I type.

Bought a retail box unit from Newegg, only thing I did differently was to NOT use cooling tape. Removed it and buffed the underside of the heatsink to mirror shine, then used cooling paste.
FYI
