Unless they update the BIOS to allow more Vcore, + .05 aint gonna cut it for an overclocker. That usually makes up for the typical .025 - .05 undervolt, and thats it.
Over at AOA the Epox Technical Support guys said that the VR-Zone review came a little too early and used a early pre-production BIOS which limited the vCore to at most 0.05+. Production or revised BIOS will allow for bigger vCore increases.

That is good news! I'm sure the EPoX will be a great mobo.

Added link to Obengware Review. This review isn't in English, I think it might be written in Bahasa Indonesia, so if anyone wants to translate any good parts of the review for us and post it here it would be appreciated by us English language readers.

I was very interested to see that the VR-Zone review indicated the presence of CSA gigabit ethernet. But, then the seeming confirmation that it is not to be so.

Does anyone know if there exists a motherboard with both CSA gigabit ethernet and 4 additional IDE (in addition to the usual primary and secondary) ports?

The 4PCA3+ could've been it. Sigh.

Thank you.

Check out the Abit IT7-G Max II, it might be along the lines of what you're looking for, but not as many regular IDE ports as the Epox. It has 4 SATA and 2 IDE.

Thank you for the suggestion, techfuzz.

I think it's close, but not quite what I'm looking for. Wanting to build a media server. Would like to use RAID 5 or 3. Linux. The SATA drives just don't quite seem to be there in terms of capacity and price, yet. So, I'm planning on 250G IDE drives. And still want usual primary and secondary for system drive and optical drive.

Nice thing (I thought) about 4PCA3+ was having the gig LAN independent of the PCI bus, which might be relatively tied up reading and writing streaming media to/from the RAID.

I'll keep looking, I think, but I appreciate your taking the time to reply.

Regards,

David Grove
