Epox 4bda2+ and hardware monitoring (CPU temps)

I notice my epox 4bda2+ board reads temps a higher than my 2 p4 asus boards that I also used...

Does the epox board read the cpu temp from it's internal diode? I READ somewhere on this forum or another that some boards (i think another epox board) read the cpu temp directly from the cpu internal diode to get much more accurate temp readings..... anyone know for sure???
