Just finished building my Epox 8K7a (Latest 7/11 BIOS) with 1.2Gig Athlon 266 FSB version with a 256 Meg stick of Crucial PC2100 DDR memory. Haven't overclocked anything yet. I've basically just installed all my drivers along with the latest AMD AGP driver and the VIA 4 in 1 drivers (except the VIA AGP driver). I just ran 3DMark 2001 and got 3283!!! My other system is a P3-800EB @ 929Mhz with 256MG PC-133 memory and the same GeForce2 card and I get about 6530, that's double what I just got on my new system which should blow my P3 out of the water, what could be wrong.

Not a chance in hell, a 1.5Ghz T-Bird and a GeForce 3 would be between 5000-6000.... You must have used 3DMark 2000 on the P3 and 3DMark 2001 on your new system.

yeah our other system may have scored that running 3dmark2000 but no way in hell is right on the 6530 with the pentium...LOL...but funny

Hmm, I'll double check but I could swear it was 3D Mark 2001. I guess from what your saying and the scores you guys are posting it isn't possible. Okay, so from time to time I'm an idiot. Anyway, got some nice base numbers and temps (Idle @ 29 Celcius) so I should start the overclocking later and see what My Taisol/Delta can do for me with this 1.2 AXIAR!

Jfilez..

You're right, 3D Mark 2000 and 2001 scores can not be compared. You have to run the same version on both computers.

As the other have said, the is no way a P3 @ 929 w/a GF2 could score 6530. In fact I'd be quite surprised if it even managed to score 3000 under 3DMark 2001.
You definitely must have been running 3DMark 2000 on the P3 system.
