Epox 1/5 PCI multiplier doesn't work? No 166 Mhz for me? :((

I have an Epox 8K7A with that supposedly working 1/5 BIOS. But when I try to do 166 FSB or more, the system hangs (even though I only tried it to get 1.57 Ghz).

I am using (2) 256 MB Crucial PC2100.

Anyone else having problems with this 1/5 "divider"?

Try using less aggressive memory timings? It could easily be your RAM cant take 166 with max memory settings.

Dulanic, is it worth running memory with less optimal/aggressive timings but at higher speed (e.g. 166 instead of 145)? I don't want to spend days comparing benchmarks, etc

8872222 - is it slower than 8882622? (just thought maybe your or anyone else here benchmarked these settings)
