Yeahh...

how do you manage to get caught FIVE times? I'm sure all of us have our moments, but really... to be doing it so often than you're caught 5 times is a little excessive. to the point of being dangerous.

Hypocrites, you've all never driven over the speed limit?
And 5 times in 8 years is NOTHING if you happen to live in a busy area with speed traps.

Congrats Syringer.

Hmmm where I have I heard the OP's name from again? Bleh totally forget...

Radar detectors allowed in CA? just get one and you might not go through all this hassle.

Is that the one post where some cat had to go to some dorm chicks room to kill a spider or something like that?

Used the Ticket Assasssin method--5 tickets in 8 years of driving--0 points 🙂

This is why California is in a budget crisis.

Good job - I've got three court dates over the next year 10 months to fight tickets (2 legit speeding, one BS "rolling" through a stop sign). Lifetime I'm 3-0-1 when going to court to fight tickets.

To all you "slow down" losers - I've been driving a long time and I've never caused an accident of any kind. There's a big difference between speeding and reckless driving.

breaking the law is breaking the law, reckless driving, or simple speeding. You break the law you should pay. There are speed limits for a reason...

So you can honestly say you've never once went over the speed limit? If not, then you should mail a check to the county for all past offenses.

Agree. In a very busy metropolitan area, a radar detector will not help you too much. On a busy highway with lots of exit ramps, loops and bridges, the speed limit may be 55MPH but traffic moves at 65-70MPH. 100's of hiding places for the man and your detector is always beeping away anyway.

Now the open highway is a different story...but even then, instant-on laser is a bitch.

I personally think 99% of the speed limits are bullshit and only there to generate revenue for the county/city. Speed limits in school zones/residential neighborhoods are a good thing and you're an idiot for speeding there. But on the highway? Floor it.

Don't worry, Darwin is catching up to OP. It's up to OP whether he meets Darwin or not.

If you KNOW you're passing a speed trap and STILL get caught 5 times, you are an idiot.

Remember this is AT..everyone abides the law and not once has anyone here ever gone 66mph on a freeway.
