Assange doesn't deserve to die, but I'm at a complete loss why anyone actually listens to him.

Listen to him? He doesn't have to say a word. US officials do all the talking. Now we just to get hear the truth about what they do in our name. How is that not a good thing?

In the future, when everyone acts appropriately and people in general aren't useless, fat, SUV driving, WalMart loving, blindly America supporting, religious sacks of SHIT, anarchy will work nicely. People will just respect each other, because that's just how people will be (assuming Idiocracy isn't our future :p).

As of right now, or even 100 years into the future? Not a god damn chance.

Asange is not a US Citizen and has no obligation to keep US documents confidential.

We should really be going after the leakers, aka Pvt. Manning and his ilk.

Because a policy of blind full disclosure is foolish, not to mention it's being done under a wholly disingenuous guise. Whether it's done any real damage yet or not is beside the point; I don't want people shooting guns in the air just because the bullets haven't hit anyone yet.

If a government didn't have some villains, they wouldn't be a country to govern. Ever seen that South Park episode about the pro/anti war protesters? It works out kinda like that. Balance is what lets a country survive.

I have a hard time wrapping my head around the fact someone actually believes this, all the while accusing someone else of being blind lol. You say that as though if it wasn't for the United States the whole world would be at peace in some wonderful commune state. The problem isn't any one country or group of people, it's all people. They'll always find something to fight about, there's no utopian future for humans. There's only, you know, normal future. The good and the bad.

Oh absolutely. I was just focusing on Americans because it's so easy. Everyone is a sack of shit :p, not just 'Mericans.

Disagree. We'll get to the point, eventually, as a society where we're "above" all of this petty shit we fight about today. Or we'll wipe ourselves out, instead. Either way, it's a future I won't see, so honestly I really don't care =/

The same people who claim "if you dont have anything to hide" when the government is busy stripping away our rights in the name of freedom, are the same that call him an enemy of the state etc. when he shows them for what they are

I said, twice, that it wouldn't work as of today. Comprehend what you read.

That's not very fully supportive of you :awe:

And what experience or happening at any point in human history would make you think we'd actually get to a point of mutual understanding? Human history is huge stripes of war and conflict with minor punctuations of peace, and even now there are relatively 'civilized' people every day who fight over absolutely nothing and constantly screw each other over.
