There was a thread somewhere about a guy who wanted a new engine for his Sentra (IIRC) but his girlfriend wouldn't let him buy it unless his current engine died, so he removed the spark plugs and put all kinds of garbage into the cylinders then cranked the engine and it kept running. He'd posted video to prove he was serious...

So I ran into this thread, but I'm almost certain the guy is a troll. Surely no one is this stupid?

I was recommended to port and polish the intake and exhaust. We found out they used abrasive material to do it like gritty sand. So I got with my friend that tunes Hondas and we decided to try it ourselves. We got a bag of sandblasting sand and hooked up into the intake and started the car. We had to hold the gas so it would run. He wanted to let the engine suck in the sand through the intake so it would port it out and then push it out the ehxaust so it would port the exhaust manifold.

I will try and find it tonight, but, there was a kid that was scamming someone for a rear gear on an offroad forum a while ago, Wentzel or something like that. Not actually someone screwing up their ride, but, still, hilarity and ride related all in one....

LOL....I remember that. I actually had a Nissan Altima from his model year. Engine was built like a tank. I beat the crap out of the car and it still ran flawlessly. I even did not give it an oil change for about 20K at one time. It still ran awesome. Reason why I traded it in? It was the most uncomfy car in the world and it had about 160K on it. The O2 sensors went, the knock sensor went and the catalytic converter went. It would have cost too much to fix it all. When I trade dit in, the guy at teh dealer said even though it failed inspection, the engine was still in great condition. He thought I babied it.

That 350Z bodykit someone had done...the shop used wood screws.

OMG. I remember that. It was a brand new car and they just drilled the body kit on top of the factory panels right into the bare metal. It was the most horrible chop job I've ever seen.
