So I was remembering this link today and it got me thinking - there must be a ton of other epic threads of people showing complete stupidity with their car repairs. Anyone have anything equally as awesome as the idiot who cut the wheel off his VW?

I keep seeing references about inflating sidewall pressure to fleabag or something in other forums (OT and even L&R).

Either he's an absolute troll or the most annoying know-it-all teenager known to man. Some of those threads were locked but became open again during the forum upgrade, I wouldn't recommend reviving them.

anyone have a link to that thread where the guy was driving his s2000 in the lowest gear possible at all times on the highway, because he heard that it was best to "keep the engine on boil at all times" IIRC the s2k died after 30 or 40 thousand miles of that abuse.

That would keep stuff hot, but that would depend how good his oil is to keep the car working no?

i dont remember what forum it was on but the thread about that dude that put NOS in his bike (at least i think it was a bike) and then woundering why it died was fucking hilarious

Anyone remember that thread where the dude comes on a forum and starts bitching about his wife/girlfriend and then she shows up on the next page and lays down some smack, turns out his car is registered in her name and yada yada yada? It seemed like a troll thread to me, but even so, still ridiculous.
