I've got the F2 BIOS , but I'm maxing out on my Xeon e3110 way below everyone else.

I've heard that I need to disable some sort of power somethingorother (hence the EP name) in order to OC well.

I can get to 3.8Ghz easily with a 1.3V core and MGH +.10 and bus +.10. To even get up to 3.9 from there takes 1.375V and +.25 on both MGH and bus. That's a huge jump.

I have load calibration enabled, all the other stuff turned off (E1C, s.m.a.r.t., etc) but still hitting that wall.

Can someone clue me in to the secrets of this board and tell me what I need to do to go over 4Ghz? I've got 650W power trio, ram timing's are at 5-5-5-18 (for now) and 2.2V (normal power for these chips).

Am I overlooking something obvious?

i Have the same combo(spu & Board) have not tried to OC it yet, but the features you talking about disabling are located under advanced bios setting
CPU Enchanced Halt(C1E) - deal with cpu power saving functions
CPU EIST Funtion - kind of like speedstep
another thing to Consider is CPU cooler if its too hot you wont be able to take it too far

Tuniq Tower is fitted, but still running hot at about 59C on load at 3.8, but still way within specs... I have all of those things disabled. There's nothing I need to disable for this certain mobo? I thought i read somewhere about the EP "Environment Protection" or something that you need to disable - maybe it's what you're talking about since I can't find anything else in the bios about it...

i might be mistaken, but i read somewhere that you might also have to OC your ram a bit in order to go higher with CPU, but since i never done it myself don't quote me on it, sorry not being much help

my ram is at spec voltage (2.2) but loose timings - that should be out of the equation

**edit** i'd hate to go to 2.3 on these chips if they're only at 860Mhz and 5-5-5
