I'm sort of scared to ask amdxborg, but how many crunchers are you currently running on various projects?

Btw, you can definitely make alot of ground in the eOn stats. I've only been running the project for a little over 1.5 months on two P4 machines, and I'm in the top 50 already. This is definitely a project where any contribution you make can go a long way.
 
lol Well I've had all my crunchers on SETI classic for the last couple of months and I'm now doin 1000+ wu a day. I'll be deviding the crunchers among a few projects.. all in all there's maybe something between 250 and 300GHz of Intel cpus.. 😀
 
A few questions about this project:

Does the client give you some control over when it does and doesn't crunch (one of the best things BOINC ever did was give you control over time or setting a wait until X minutes idle setting)?

How much bandwidth does the client use?

Does it favor AMD or Intel processors?

If some of these are favorable I can add a few machines to the fight 🙂
 
Amdxborg - 😀 That's alot of crunching power, alright. You must have a heck of an electric bill.

Crazee - Unfortunately, I can't answer any of your questions. I'm still fairly new to the project, and I don't even know what BOINC is (although I've seen it pop up once or twice in this forum). Sorry. 🙁

I will give EON a try also. I have a 500 Pentium 3 (with 256megs of ram) IBM Thinkpad that I was also going to throw at F@H. Looking over the other dc projects (that are non-boinc'ed) I came across this little gem. Just trying to look for a "safe haven" after the Nova occuring at Seti Classic.
 
Ok, downloaded and installed EON...hmm...it only asked me for my email address...Screensaver activated...1 unit already processed...how do I enter that work should be credited to TeAm?
 
OK, going to call it a night. Now the screen saver is reporting "0" units and elapsed time is 13 min. The scrolling text message has a lot of "Failed" messages. Will check back in the morning. It's been a bloody long day. Had to put to sleep one of our cats today. Don't have children so Morris was one of our "sons". A very long bloody day. 🙁

Are you still getting error messages? Anyone else have any ideas?
