not sure. I haven't heard of any conditions like this in the US or elsewhere. And it is no secret that depleted uranium is being used by Americans in it's many unwinable wars.

Can you point to ANY EVIDENCE AT ALL? What you have there is a bunch of pictures of small children and someone saying they were caused by American forces. Oh, and of course the same person who is an expert on medical issues (yet who did not provide a single statistic) also is an expert on the supposed campaigns of rape and murder.

The Taliban are claimed as Afghan resistance fighter.

Of course, the possiblity that the Russians used depleted uranium is not considered.

Depleted uranimum is used in tank and A/C shells.
M1 sabots and the A10 use such type of weapons.

Hey, i'm all for criminalizing Bush's actions... but there's gotta be more proof than this, especially from a site that's so bias.

Wow... Some random idiot posts a bunch of gross pics on his blog claiming they are afghan babies and you believe it enough to post a thread about it?

I have seen this pic before. It's called wax baby syndrome or something like that. I think I saw it on snopes but when I searched I couldn't find it.

Also someone else posted a thread here claiming that DU munitions used in Afghanistan caused a huge upsurge in lung cancer in the US. I can't find that thread either but it took about 10 minutes to completly debunk that one as well.

I have seen some of those pictures before as well...there was a baby born somewhere in Asia a few weeks back that had a rare birth defect syndrome...forgot the name of it...where the child is born premature and essentially looked like an alien...links for that condition led to many of the pictures, or ones like them, on that blog.

Looks more like unsubstantiated propaganda floating around the web.

I think the site may be a bit of exaggeration, especially about the mass rapes and what not. The depleted uranium probably does contribute to higher rates of cancer but I doubt it's on the scale the writer on that website makes it out to be.
