I was looking in to getting one and I was wondering if anybody has one or has any thought about it. I was looking specifically at the EN-7100 or maybe the EN-7500. I dont play a lot of games but I do play some and I dont watch DVDs on my computer, got an HT for that.

We just got a 17" Envision here at work from Dell.

It looks pretty nice. No dead pixels and bright. Haven't done any gaming on it so I can't really tell you about it's FMV capabilities.

I have the 17" LCD - made up my own hot deal and PM'd at Staples - got it for around $470 6 months ago.

I use it and play FPS games, do some web authoring/graphics, and look at lots of pretty pictures and love it. It looks cool and I don't think the display could get a whole lot better - not worth the $400+ more for other 17" displays, thats for sure.

My wife has the 15 incher, & loves it, she works with computers all day & I was a little afraid to give it to her, but she's had no complaints @ all...

I picked up hers with the $100 off Staples was giving a few months ago.

I was gonna ask about these monitors too. Costco has the 15in for 339 plus tax. What was the Staples final price after the rebate? So these monitors get a thumbs up?

Costco has the 7100 model for 519.99 with a $20 mail in rebate. Staples has the same monitor for 579.99 B&M or 549.99 onlne with a $50 mail in rebate. I am going to try to get Staples to PM it down to 516.99 or 513.99 (depending on if they took the B&M price or the online price) then get the $50MIR. Net cost would be about $500 because tax for me is going to be like $40.

Costco has the 7500 model for $749.99..it has a tv tuner built into it, with coax, s-video, rca, vga inputs as well as the 2.5mm stereo jack for the speakers. I am not sure if it woudl be worth it for me to get this as its $250 bucks more...I could however hook up my computer through the s-video...but I am not sure if it would make that much of a difference. Any thoughts?

My DDR thread got locked and this doesn't belong in peripherals?

Get it?

I looked the 7500 at Costco this weekend. I had them hook it up to the satellite dish via composite video to check the live video IQ(they couldn't come up with a s-video hook up:(). Video quality was pretty good actually. The price is worth it to me, as I'll use it as display for a DVD/VHS player in our boat, but I'm not sure its worth the extra $ for the connectivity if you are using it as a computer display. I wasn't interested in its computer display quality, but it did look very nice in comparison to the other displays around it FWIW.
