This is just a question so please don't slam me for ethics. I'm not advocating this: Question -, since there seems to be some uncertainty if using a coupon(s) on the purchase of this monitor (ie. the $100 one) whether the rebate will invalidated or not. So, would it be ethically ok to return the monitor to the local Staples without a receipt (using the explanation of having lost the receipt) and then rebuying it immediately with the resulting store credit in order to get a clean receipt for filing the rebate? Thoughts?

RBC, I think that's okay as long as you don't just return the thing and pocket the coupons. Staples doesn't lose anything with this transaction. However, you only have today to do this as the rebate ends today. Personally, I wouldn't bother to do this because it's a good deal even without the $70 rebate. You already took $100+$30 off the price (you did use the Staple coupon, didn't you?).

I can't speak for this deal, but I did receive all rebates from the Staples XP promotion a few months ago despite the fact that I used an on-line coupon and the offer small print said the rebates were not valid with any other offer, promotion, etc.

I tend to think this language is meant to mean only one rebate per item. I have heard stories involving past rebates where CSRs reportedly told customers that coupons invalidated rebates (including during the XP promotion), but I have never seen where this was actually the case (i.e. rebate center denied rebate with this as the stated reason).

couple of questions:
how long is the $70 rebate good till? cuz i just checked the staples website, it no longer has a link to the $70 mir

also, in regards to a b&m pricematch, how can you get them to honor the $40 off $200 coupons, i thought those were designed to be online only redemptions

thx

Workerbee, Thanks for the thoughts. I got it for $349 -$100 any LCD - $30 off $150 - $10 off $10- $70 = $139 not incl tax. The funny thing is that they csr at the store in Lexington (brand new store) asked me if I had any other coupons that I wanted to use. He even searched around in a desk drawer trying to find any he had laying around. Guess that their way of trying to build goodwill in a new market.

They'd only let me use 1 coupon, and no pricematch. So $350 - $100 + $21 tax - $70 rebate = $201
Still HOT!

is there a difference between the en-5100 and the en-5100e. I ordered mine from staples.com and just recieved it today

UPS delivered mine yesterday. I have no luck. It has stuck green pixel right in the center of the screen. Now I got to get it replaced. Otherwise, it is satisfactory for general use.

Can a monitor crash a game?? I just hooked up my 5100e, with the proper inf, and now Shogun Total War and Battle Realms crash constantly when, before they were running fine with my old NEC 17". Does this make sense?

Same here! I lost my printout of the $70 rebate and it's no longer on the rebateshq.com or staplesrebates.com websites. Does anyone have a saved HTML or a .pdf printout of the form that can be e-mailed to alton.lam@utoronto.ca?

<< I seem to have misplace my printout of the $70 rebate. Can someone please email me a copy or a link to one?

Thanks,

Same here. I thought I mailed the $70 rebate form already. Just found out I even lost the blank rebate form print out.

Does anybody still have a copy of the blank rebate form? I can't find it at staplesrebates.com and rebateshq.com. If you have, would you email to me. Thank you!
