Nice price for a 20" non-w/s but not sure about its picture quality. Anyone?

I haven't read a glowing review yet - I was going to get this, but it seems like a slow panel and mediocre DVD output kill the deal for me.

I'll concur with Greg04. I heard it was just not too good, but not too bad. Reviews of ghosting is what killed it for me. As soon as I found the Hanns G's monitor, I quickly bought that one over this.

Is this an on-line price or purchase only? What if you're not happy with it, can you return it at your local b&m store?

It can't be any worse than 19" Widescreen LCDs that sell at the same price. I have a Viewsonic 19" widescreen (my wife's) and I would say DVD playback is mediocre and its an average panel. Might as well get a 20" LCD for the same price.

I got the Apple Cinema display... 20" I bought a while back .... like a year and half ago, for 800 or 900 dollars... now it's worth 500. and These huge LCD's like the envision going to 200? I feel ripped off..

I have a 19" Samsung WideScreen and a 19" Hanns-G widescreen. The DVD playback on both are awesome.

But not a bad price on a 20.1" Monitor.

Well it's an apple! It's a ripoff anyday in terms of the hardware you get. The 2005fpw from Dell sell for under $350 1 year and a half ago uses the exact same panel as the Apple.

I was trying to figure out what panel this monitor uses but I couldn't figure it out. It does look exactly like the AOC 203P and it has the same specs as well. That monitor might be an 8bit panel. I took a look at the AOC 203P manual and it says that it is a 16.7M color monitor.

It is a AOC monitor from what I could find for info on line. The warranty is 3 years parts and labor but only 1 year on the screen. You can upgrade the warranty from the manufacture for a full 3 years everything, cross shipping, and some other stuff for $39.99. Go to the manufactures web site for this info.

But all of this may be for nothing as CompUSA now has this monitor as "Backordered" when I tried to checkout with it. Only one more click and the order would have been placed but then they could not fill my order of one monitor.

Well, since the deal is 3 months old, it's no wonder they're backordered. :)
