Envision 19" Flat CRT at Staples

It's $199.98
-$30 off $150 coupon (in email)
-$20 rebate
_________
$149.98 + tax where applicable and Free shipping

Pretty decent deal on a decent monitor especially when you consider shipping costs on a 44lbs monitor (usually like $40-50). The $30 off 150 coupon is through the email and IIRC one time use, but check coupon sites and fatwallet forums if you dont have one. I have 2 becasue they sent me 2 different ones that expire at different dates. Both are claimed so don't bother asking me for them.

Envision makes great cheap monitors. I have one EN-985 and 2 older (non flat screen) CRTs. I use them all in 1600x1200 and text and graphics look great. They make great gaming monitors too.

They are a great value for the money.

I must agree. My brother has the 17" flat one and it looks fantastic.

Read all of dakels post. Try to pick out the important information in it.

Also thanks dakels, needed a decent monitor for a new system and didn't want to go overboard.

How does this flat screen technology compare to the trinitron?

I currently have a 17inch trinitron and love it, but would like to go bigger.

Check out their site, the model is their flagship CRT, EN-985e.

I haven't seen too many reviews about this monitor but I have used one before in a studio. I thought it was pretty good. The Geometry, OSD, color, and brightness and contrast were better then I expected for a $200 19" flat CRT. I am getting one as a spare on a 3rd computer but still using a higher end NEC FE950+s for my main monitors. I am also buying another for a friend who is upgrading his 17" trinitron. He saw he monitor in the store and considered it a good replacement/upgrade. The warranty is 3 years as well.

I saw this one in the store when I was looking for the 19" phillips flat screen clearance. The colors are nice and bright on this monitor, I picked one up for my dad, will make a good father's day gift :)

Did anyone get one of these yet? If so, are you having any trouble with the geometry of the display, or did I just get a bad one?

I only see Staples coupon codes for $30 off $200 or more, so you'd have to add a box of paper clips or such to bring the total to over $200. Or am I looking in the wrong places?

the coupon code was emailed to you if you are on the email list. In fact they usually send one like every other week :p
These are one time only $30 off a purchase of $150 or greater.

Same final price but waiting for a $20 rebate from staples is very different then waiting for a $50 rebate from CUSA. In fact CUSA still owes me a $40 rebate for a Maxtor I bought from them like 5 months ago. I will never get into a CUSA rebate again.

Can you price match at Staples the same price from a CUSA though? That could be interesting. Wait just checked CUSA's site. The price is $219.99 NO applicable rebates at this time. Only makes this Staples deal look better.

IMPROVED!!!

Add an order of paper clips to this, then use the $50 off $200 coupon. You should be able to get this for just over $130 (+tax where applicable) shipped after coupon and rebate.
