Well I am just waking up watching this on the news. If there is another thread then please ignore this one.

7 hours after those suspect pictures were put out to the public, those two individuals according to the news, robbed a local 7-11 in the Waterford area in Boston, apparently both brothers, whose family came from Russia. They stole a car with a person in it, then while being chased started throwing bombs out the window of the car, and one of the brothers had a bomb strapped to his chest. He was shot to death, and the younger boy apparently gunned the car running over his dead brother, and is now on the run. Several police officers were injured, one killed. The Boston Police told everyone in all of Boston to "shelter in place" do not go outside of their homes, and only allow a police officer in.

Wow, wow..still unfolding.

Refer to the shooting at MIT thread, or the original bombing thread... or the same two in OT...

I checked though. You didn't post in any of those yet this morning! :D

They are saying the MIT shooting is related.. ok, saying they were the ones doing the shoot out there.

and..now they are saying this is unprecedented that an entire city is lock down. I wonder if that kid has explosives strapped on him too...jesus

Their family is originally from Chechyna Russia. That they sought asylum here years ago.

It's like a scene out of a bond movie. Crazy stuff. I just hope they put that rabid dog down before he has a chance to hurt anyone else.

I would rather have him captured alive so they can get some information out of him.

A Chechnyan terrorist is on the loose in your neighborhood and you can't leave, are you still in favor of gun control now? Or do you want a AR-15 or AK47 to defend your family with?

I'm wondering if they just went crazy for personal reasons, or if they have an anti-American Islamic ideology?

The MIT shooting is the same. One of the brothers shot and killed an MIT officer. Everything is shut down in Boston and neighboring cities. The MBTA is shut down. I've never seen anything like this in all my time living here.

LOL +1,000,000

Remember, when seconds count the police are only minutes away.

I wonder that too, but his gun control point is equally valid either way.

You know, the entire purpose of terrorism is to terrorize.

One of the nations largest and most symbolic cities on complete and total lockdown with a shelter in place order, seems like mission accomplished to me....

They have actually just said that if you're still at work, it's alright to drive or have someone drive and pick you up in Boston. But once home, stay at home.

It's so damn nice outside right now, I want to go for a run along the river.

You crawled out from under your bed to post this? Don't you know there's a GUN on the loose near you?

I may start locking my back door at night, does that make you happy?

Sorry, not scared. Even at the finish line, more worried that my GF was at the finish line waiting for me.

Living in the affected area. Nope, no desire for a gun.

You ought to offer to train Boston PD then, clearly if they learned your skills they wouldn't need all of those armored personnel carriers and assault rifles to go after this terrorist.

Have you told your girlfriend that you are looking forward to being a victim if the terrorist decides your house is a good place to hide?

Hm. Are you a retard? Am I going after the suspect? Did I need a gun when I ran the marathon and when the explosions occurred at the finish line?

I have higher odds of some dumbass running a red light/stop sign killing me then a terrorist barging into my house. How many people do you know that have had terrorists come into their homes?

Are you holding a gun right now, scared of terrorists breaking into your house? :D

If I was trapped in my home while a terrorist was running around I would absolutely be armed and prepared.
