Same for me. My current i7 will last me until then.

That makes a lot of sense for people running current i5/i7 systems. Sandy Bridge is really only attractive to those of us running Core 2 and older hardware, who just don't want to wait any longer.

This really can't be said enough. Current i5/i7 owner's need not apply as Ivy Bridge is the next logical step for them. Course if they still want/need better performance now then a simple CPU & mobo upgrade is all that's required to jump to SB.

Considering i5/i7s are currently about 20% faster per clock compared to Phenom IIs and the fact that SB will bring another 15% performance improvement from i7s, the 30%+ of people who voted for Bulldozer are very optimistic or have some insider info that the rest of us don't know! Since AMD doesn't have a manufacturing node advantage, I still believe Intel will have at least as good of an overclocking frequency headroom. This likely means AMD will continue to use lower pricing or more cores at the same price strategy to compete.

supposedly BD is going to clock much higher than current amd cpus but it might not have much of an ipc advantage. I won't be in the market again until late 2011 at the earliest, but I can't imagine that BD will be faster than SB in most apps.

of course, my 1075t is killer in DC so I'll probably get a BD anyway for the 8-16 cores.
