- This is a very high-power, high-heat CPU. You'll probably want a better heat sink than that. Perhaps this one. (Thermal compound included.)

I can kinda sorta see the OP's justification for the CPU, so I'm not going to harp on that point. However, there's still a lot of bad value stuff in the build:

- The X79 Sabertooth does not have $115 of value over the ASRock X79 Extreme3
- The 7970 is $80 more expensive and slower than the GTX 680
- 1KW power supply is overkill because SLI/Crossfire anything is pointless when your resolution is only 1080p. Get an HCG-750 and save $110
- Memory is twice as expensive as it should be. Two of these Mushkin 8GB kits will perform very similarly but save you $78.
- The NIC is unnecessary and not significantly better than what is onboard, save $30.
- Get a better cooler like the Mugen 3 for $20 more.

IMHO having an $1881 build that performs like a $2274 build is worth bragging rights!
