They're hitting the mark this season. Excellent, excellent storytelling. They're writing the story behind the Star Trek universe, and it will KICK ASS if it continues.

Season 5: Romulan war? Please, god, Romulan war.

Didn't NCC 1701 make first contact with the Romulans? I think I remember that, but I may be wrong.

Edit: I agree that this show is starting to get good. It always seems to take a few seasons for the ST serieseses to get their "space legs," so to speak.

nope...just before the federation formed thier was a war between humans and romulans. and since the concluesion of this show is supposed to be the formation of the federation we have to have a romulan war

but the main problem I see is by the end of this season earth only is going to have 4 NX class ships with maybe one or 2 more in production. and since if my memory serves me right earth goes it alone in this war (vulcan stayed neutral) we are going to need a hell of alot more ships built. although if a war does break out between vulcan and andorea like its looking like it might Earth may start building more ships just incase thier pulled into the war.

You mean the series is actually becoming good?! I may have to watch.

I think they got all new writers and finished up all the old story lines.

Just remember to write so the show will not get canceled.

write? cancelled? tell me more

It was likely to get canned last year, BUT so many people wrote and e-mailed, they brought it back another year.
SO this MIGHT be the last year unless the ratings go up and/or a lot of people write in.

Every piece of literature I see on the net says that the Romulan war will NOT be in this series, and will most likely be the subject of a movie.

Looks good , what's wrong? Normal winter hiatus pattern for them to be showing repeats for a month.

I like when the new season is on that they actually show new episodes every week... 2 on 4 off, 2 on 1 off... 9 weeks and only 4 new episodes.
