Enterprise rental cars and "slight" paint damage

I picked up a Cobalt from Enterprise last week. I didn't realize how low to the ground it was, so when I was parking it one evening, the bottom part of the front bumper hit the concrete.

If you squat down, you can see a few paint scratches that pretty much explain what happened. What's going to be the fee for this type of damage -are they just going to charge me to replace the entire bumper?

The car is due back tomorrow evening. If they're going to charge me anyways, would it be worth a shot, at least, to take some touch-up paint and make it significantly less noticeable?

I used to inspect cars that they would take out of their fleet and sell to car dealers, they will notice at this point. But the local lots wont bend down and look, unless the next renter is anal and reports it. Hope that they aren't. Your call man.
 
Touch up paint for a couple of $$ should resolve the issue.

They should not go after a complete bumper, the bumper is not damaged. Worse case would be to repaint the bumper instead of touching it up.

If you have to look for it, then ignore it.
 
an ex gf sideswiped a pole in the apt. parking garage with a rental cobalt. big dent in the body, side mirror gone, etc. the next day, enterprise called her up to say they wanted her to pick up another rental, as they were going to sell the cobalt. so she went to some back of the house bodywork guy who charged her $250 to fix it. turned it into enterprise a couple days later and they never said anything.
 
thats gotta be normal wear n tear.....doubt they will even notice....my dad backed into a mailbox and had slight paint dmg the trunk and they didnt notice/care

He had it towed to the rental car place...

never was charged to fix...didn't but the optional insurance, either...

Sidewall failure carries enormous liability risk. If the rental outfit thought there was any way for him to claim the tire went first, causing the accident, they would be happy enough to drop the issue. I assume your brother didn't walk in and announce "Got drunk, wrecked your car."
