yeah i still have yet watch it, but am looking forward to it.

Awesome movie. Definitely a must watch.

I love the ties they drew between Enron and the Bush administration.

Considering 95% of the crime committed occured under Clinton, and the Bush admin is the one that uncovered the scandal and put them in jail...I'd say they did a better job on Enron than Clinton.

So would care to explain to me why Clinton vetoed a bill that would limit
restricting suits over stock market frauds

Then the bill went back to Congress and they overidden Clinon's veto.

Nevermind the where the link came from just look at the material.

The shocking thing is that the "energy crisis" in California, which brought down the democratic governor, was created by Enron. Enron traders took entire power plants "off-line", to cause an artificial energy shortage, which caused prices to jump and allowed Enron energy traders to basically steal over 2 billion dollars from California. And then of course you get a Republican replacement governor Arnold. Fvck knows what people were thinking voting that corrupt pr1ck in, he's just as evil as Ken Lay's cronies at the federal level. The documentary is just a total eye opener on how there is intimate cooperation between the highest levels of government and business, to feather the nests of wealthy and corrupt individuals like Ken Lay, George W. Bush, etc.

If these guys aren't in police custody, it's amazing that no one has tried to pull a Clockwork Orange on these guys. You'd think their bodies would have been found out in the woods, hanging up on a cross, crucified.

Not really that amazing if you think about it. You have to remember the environment this all happened in. The stock market in the late 90's was shooting up like a rocket. In an environment like that nobody cares how it's being done so long as they are making money hand over fist.

It's easy to take advantage of someone's greed... Especially when (A) the more they make the more you make and (B) asking the questions you know you should be asking might kill the golden goose. That is how you take advantage of greed... make the deal so sweet that people stop asking questions.
