I just ordered the following upgrades for my rig (click the link below to see my current rig):

1.33 GHz Athlon 266
FIC AD-11 motherboard
256 MB Kingston PC2100 DDR SDRAM

My current power supply is a 250W unit. Will this be sufficient to handle the upgrade or will I need to get a 300W or greater PSU?

it should be able to boot off that power-supply and be fine.. i think 250 is the minimum if i'm not mistaken, i assume it's and old power supply you just have laying around? if i were you i'd spend the extra dough and get a new 300w, like enermax or sparkle or somethin, got nice parts for everything else.. well my 2 cents..

my 2 year old 235 w PS from my p III 550 worked fine on my AMD 1.33 gig on an EPoX.

however, it was locking up here and there in some games. i have a new case and PS in my room but haven't installed it into the case yet.

if it is a high quality psu you might be ok, but I would pretty much deff. recommend you get a new psu.

I'd really recommend a 300W PS (or higher) especially for a system that has more than the basics and/or which you plan to upgrade later by adding more devices.

Check out my sig below. I'm running a 300W PS and it works just fine for that config.

I think your cutting it close!

Pick up at least a 300 watt ps, especially if you have multiple hard drives, cdrom, burner, 4 or more fans running!

Better to be safe than crashy!
