I have never reported anyone and wouldn't do so if this case was not so specific.

Dudeman has made a new sig made up from material from PM and some stuff that he made up.

I asked him to stop but he will not, and this could potentially be a problem for another poster if he keeps it up.

I just want his sig removed.

I agree with Klixxer's concerns.

From the first post I made--- which was sincere and respectful regarding the subject--- 'dudeguy' was gunning for me. I felt I handled it well, but he really went off the deep end with personal attacks. And personal attacks are clearly forbidden. He attacked my profession most specifically, which I think shows that his immaturity is hindering his ability to post in P and N effectively.

If you look over the thread carefully, I think it is very clear that dudeguy only intends to be antagonistic, and that's a terrible waste of bandwidth. It would be nice if he was shown that AT Forums hold members to higher standards than that.

I agree - his sig should be deleted. You really should have PM'd the MODs though.

I thought he meant the sig of the op of this thread, and THAT sig does not contain anything i got in PM's or anywhere else, it is a line i was told by one of my fellow soldiers in Pristine Kosovo, it has nothing to do with anyone else if you don't want it to.

There is a difference, i am sure you can see it. The discussion is about a signature that could possibly pose a problem and a quote that is NOT mine in it.

Stay on focus.

If you are REALLY offended by my sig i will change it.

can you clarify which poster it would be a problem for and why? we dont want to use generalisations and presumptions to ban a member do we? why should you be able to swear at someone privately and insult them in every other sentence and not have it made public, while you are carrying on the other half of the diatribe in public?

firstly her post on page 8 was ridiculous, so i joked that american schools' gun problem could be good in this instance. how that is gunning for someone is beyond me, but still.

second she second guessed my joke. now i dont particularly think highly of public sector workers, which isla and this antagonist are, and suggested to restrict her comments to an area of particular knowledge. then i think he starts attacking me. i may have been a little harsh on isla - she may have done it inadvertently, but not that harsh, and he had no reason to attact me.

You didnt quote me, you falsified a quote and used as your sig, if that is ok, i have a quote i am going to use as yours.

How about "yeah, i am homosexual and my dad was my teacher, i love him and cannot see the problem"? would THAT be ok, it is as truthful as the sig you have.
