There was a time 2-3 years ago when guys like Thugsrook, Duvie, Technonut, Myself and a few others were nearly WEEKLY getting new Intel CPU"S to test. There were many late night weekends when we would all stay up waiting for the next report from our overclocking adventures. It was a highlight of the AT forums. Those were great days! And even the AMD guys were interested and very appreciative of the time and effort put into those threads. I myself use AMD at the moment, but I still liked my INtel overclocking.
Today, as much as I still like these forums, you hardly ever see the detail that went into those original threads. It is good to still see Duvie posting great info, and well as a few other guys. I am glad for that. I am not glad for idiots that come in here, have 3 posts to there name and then bash and insult guys like Duvie, when he clearly has the facts in hand and knows his stuff. Those types should be banned forever, they do this forum no good at all. They just cause fights, and take up post space.
Maybe I am just an old timer now, but those were the good old days, and I know that many of you remember them. Wouldn't it be great to get back to pushing hardware to the extreme and posting it for all to see, and ignoring the trolls and idiots who do nothing more than post flame-bait? I would rather see 1 great forum post on overclocking a CPU than the useless nonsense that has been posted here the last week. Let's get on to overclocking!
