Has anybody ever had problems with the included enlight power supply that comes with this case? I am putting together a system with this case and cannot get the thing to startup. The PS will start to get going, and then it dies. Any suggestions?

MOB: ECS-K7VTA3

Memory: 256 MB DDR - PC2100 Crucial

IBM 40 GB 7200 RPM HD

Sound Blaster Live 5.1

KYRO II 64 MB Video Card

When I plug the computer in, the fan starts to go, then dies. However, the MOB says there is power to it. I would think that the CD-Rom would at least open and close. But it doesn't even do that. Nothing happens at all. Something is screwy somewhere....

Yeah, sounds like you've got a short or a grounding problem somewhere. I've built a few rigs with this case and PS, and they all work fine.

I sure wish I knew where the grounding problem would be. Very frustrating, especially since Newegg makes you pay for the returned item....

I think I remember having a situation with mine when I first got the case. I had the power button wire on wrong.

At the time I had an ASUS A7V. I just flipped the thing (part that goes ontot the mobo) over and it worked.

I have flipped the Power Switch Connector around. On the ECS K7VTA3 they have the Panel Connector, but also have a LPANEL Connector (For OEM use). The thing is that for the Power Led Connector you have to connect it to the LPANEL, but for the rest (Power Switch, Reset Switch, HDD LED) they all can be connected to either the LPANEL1 or to the main Panel Connector....It's quite frustrating....

take your board out, put it on top of your mother board box, and connect only your ram, cpu/hs, and video card up. Then hook the power on button up and LASTLY hoook the power supply to it, if it works then you have a short going between your case and mobo, if it doesn't then you have a bigger problem.
