Enhance ENS-0565 650W PSU - opinions?

eWiz doesn't appear to be carrying the ENS-0560G psu any more so I'm looking for an alternative (I plan to have a Crossfire setup in the future). They carry the ENS-0565 but this unit doesn't appear to have the same amount of current on the 12v rails as the former.

According to this review, the Akasa AK-P650FF is the same sa the ENS-0565, just sold under a different name.

Any good/bad opinions on the ENS-0565?
 
Its an Enhance so it's most likely very good.

Alternatives would be Forton-Source and Seasonic.

Nice monitor btw 😉.
 
Enhance PSUs are generally good but I'd definitely be looking at the Fortron epsilon 600W unit which is a newer design and can be found for as low as $102. + S/H using Froogle or Pricegrabber. (~$147. shipped from Newegg). Claims both SLI and Cross certs.

What Zepper says is true, the Epsilon is a newer design and will be more efficient below 300W. The ENS-0560G Froogles @ $103, has individual line regulation(Epsilon does not), full sleeved and full modular with industry standard connections at the PSU. It's efficiency jumps to 77% at 300W and doesn't drop below 75% till near full load. It's fan does ramp-up a little early during load.

johnny really liked the ST60F (0560G). It provides more current on the 12v rails than the FX600-GLN. The biggest complaint against the ST60F was the noise, but that has been rectified afaik. The X1800/1900 series cards EAT current so I want something that's not going to bark under load.

In this thread most seem to favor the Enhance. Now some are favoring the Forton. ???

No one in thier right mind needs to spend over $120 for a very fine PSU, that will support
99% of the desktops on this board. I paid $99+tax+shipping. 😛

The more I read about Enhance, Enermax and Seasonic, the more I like'em. The AX & ATX Fortrons are not on my recomend list anymore. I won't say why because I hate PSU

Tip: Buy what you need after doing your homework...Then don't look back in regret. Just
dance with your chosen partner. I dance well with Zippy as I'm sure I will with this unit.

Needed a dependable and quiet PSU. Got a Seasonic S-12 600W today. ATs forum's recommedations helped immensely.
Got a good deal $149 shipped. Replacing my Vantec 530W and can't wait till my new PSU arrives.

There you have it. Word from the wise man. I guess we can say its a great psu which will give you 35A on the 12V combined. Should be enough for most pcs. Looking at the internal components, I havent seen such nice build other than in highly expensive PC Power and cooling at Zippy modules.
 
greenwar, Zippy does not offer modular yet and may never. The Enhance ENS-0560G is full modular using industry standard shells & pins. Beware of HIPER that uses very small proprietary pins in thier modular connects. The six pin's plug uses only three small pins at the PSU and the four pin plug uses two pins at the PSU. Something very wrong with that picture.

With the feedback here and favorable reviews from johnny and others, I've decided on the Enhance. I can get it about $10 cheaper than the Fortron and it's modular to boot.

It should, it's the exact same PSU as the Silverstone Strider ST60F.
Enhance builds the Strider and Element series for Silverstone.
