I just received an Enhance 5150GH psu from Ewiz. It is working fine but the fan seems to going full bore and doesn't seem to want to slow down. Anyone have an issue like this? It simply is way too loud......

I installed a ENP-5140GH recently and have no such problem.

There are several that post here that have the 5150GH, maybe one will offer something.

EDIT: If you chose to RMA, try going directly to Enhance in Cerritos, Ca. first.

Probably best to just RMA it. Because, their is a good chance that your problem is with the fan and it's easy to fix. But if it's not then you just voided your warantee and you have a loud PSU.

I have the 5150 running in my system. Either you have ultra sonic hearing or I have loss my hearing 'cause it's whisper quiet in my system. Have you tried comparing the noise to another PSU?

Oh yeah, it's louder than any psu I've ever used. There is obviously a problem with the temp sensor or fan itself. As I said the fan is going full bore, which is pretty loud for any 120mm fan, air is blasting out the back. I tried to load it differently but it doesn't matter. This one is a dud....pretty dissappointed being that it's my first Enhance psu.......I am wondering if Ewiz got it back from an RMA and shipped it to me...it was OEM packaging and no book included...not impressively packaged...

Yeah, Enhance PSU don't come in fancy packages, but they should all be brand new. I'm pretty sure they come in a big box and ewiz just send one out to you w/ whatever package they can find in the warehouse. Just get it replaced. It's not uncommon to have a busted unit, though ewiz should've tested it before sending it out.

What's neffing?

Lol, I don't think manufacturers have time to test those things. :p Just my thinking...

eWiz isn't a manufactuerer, they're the retailer. Enhance is the manufacturer. And no, eWiz doesn't test anything.

I ordered a second unit from eWiz and it is running perfectly and super quiet. The first one has been granted an RMA, the replacement for it will go into a second machine.....

Overall happy :)
