Let's petition NewEgg.com to carry the Enhance ENP-5140GH<- NewEgg's product suggestion page

excellent idea, ewiz is the only reasonably priced carrier ATM, but I've heard acounts that their customer service is cr@p... though gy has never had a problem.

Ordered the Enhance 500W on Thursday morning, got a phone call and email from eWiz telling me they can't verify my shipping addy w/ the CC around noon. I immediately called my CC and had them add the shipping addy, then emailed eWiz back. Got the tracking number around 8PM (still on Thursday). Received the PSU on Friday afternoon. UPS Ground.

I have had one positive experience ordering from eWiz also(case with free shipping), I just prefer NewEgg.

The only good stuff Vantec has ever made that I know of were the old socketed HSFs. They're not really a big player anymore.

that's good news! Reassuring that it actually is a reputable place... I think their main problem is RMAs...

Here is their Reseller ratings page. Looks pretty good to me.

I never said that the ION2 was on the same level as the Powmax. It was you yourself who said that the Vantec was even better than Antec. I quoted you saying that in my previous post.

So you don't have any quantifiable information about why is Vantec is good and even better than Antec do you? I asked you nicely and all it did was get you angry. You have given no concrete information about Vantec's oem, internal build quality/design, component quality etc except to say that it is 'good'.

The reviews you linked are laughably poor. Not one used a multimeter. Everyone used the motherboard bios or mbm5. Not one gave any information about its possible OEM or discussed internal build quality in any useful detail. Only 1 review gave a picture of the insides but it was too small to tell what capacitors was used. Not one measured ripple. And linking to pricegrabber reviews is really reaching.

You sit there acting as if Vantec is pure, over rated, paper weight, crap. Me comparing your impression of Vantec to a Powmax Assassin is 100% accurate. Your effort to prove me wrong is, to quote you, "laughably poor". This argument has proven to be a waste of my time, and I promise to myself to never do the same again.

You are using a strawman argument. I never said that the Vantec was powmax crap. I only said and keep repeating that you were relying on a bunch of weak reviews which don't even use a digital multimeter among them - to bolster your statement that the ION2 is better than Antec.

"Sheesh, what is your deal? I know Vantec is a quality brand, and I found a different review a while ago on the ION2 and decided that the 460W they have would be good to recommend. Next thing I know, howard want a review on it and I have trouble finding the original review so I just grab another one I found which happended to have a similar conclusion. Vantec isn't anything like Powmax, Rosewill, Deer, Aspire, or even Antec for that matter. "

I have no doubt that the ION2 should be a decent psu simply going by its reputation/anecdotal but I don't have or seen any hard evidence that it should be good.
You stated "I don't need you to tell me what makes a good PSU and a bad PSU." but produced a bunch of links of poorly conducted reviews including informal accounts from pricegrabber. Thats why your so called quantifiable evidence is laughably poor.

I have never known Vantec to make anything that was of quality!
In fact Antec would propbably be a better brand@!!
vantec at best is a small time player and not known for ther quality.

I have installed a few of their card readers, and found them to be of pretty good quality.

operandi: they got a 5.28 returns and replacment score... but the enhance unit shouldn't need to be replaced.

The ION2 and Stealth are kinda old and fading, I don't really recommend them much anymore. But they are decent, and much better then a Antec Truepower 2 or Smartpower.
