a: Please take notice that I will be on holidays ..bla
b: Please take note that I will etc.

Where having an argument overhere how someone should mention that he's on holidays.

(Stupid policy that official mail should be in English)

At the very least, you'd say: "Please take notice that I will be on holiday from..." (singular).

I agree with jfur based purely for conciseness. "Please note that I" easily replaces "Please take notice that I" or "Please take note that I".
