The unripe banana tastes ______

what word is commonly used. :hmm:

acerbic or astringent or bitter :\

I'm trying to find the right word to describe that taste,, it's supposedly "astringent" but i've never heard it used so,, that's why I asked.

How about 'unripe'? An unripe banana doesn't taste bitter (nor is it astringent), it's just unripe.

They're a little astringent, but that's kind of a weird sentence. You should concentrate on the texture, Say it's too hard.

If something's astringent, it's making your pores feel like they're closing, or in your mouth, like it's sapping all the moisture.

actually i don't think i've ever had an unripe banana. why are people eating unripe bananas? it already has a built in way for you to determine if it's ripe or not.

Yea, that's literally what it will do,, same goes for many other unripe fruits,, Unripe Persimmons is another common one associated with this "feeling?"

Some people prefer them that way, and others misjudge, and buy them too green, and have to eat them early.

I'm going to leave this thread immediately. I don't think I can tolerate comma's being used as ellipsis.

hahahahha,,,,,,,,, that's my thing.. ,,,, what,, of ,,

they stand for pauses,,, and rightly so,,

one comma is a short pause between sentence,,, multi-comma is multi-pause,,,, i'm not draging out the end of the sentence with an ellipsis

xxxxx....... xxx vs xxxx,,,,, xxxxx at the ,,,,, part i'm not saying anything it's just a pause,,,,

is astringent a texture?
No. That's the point.

Just because ... stands for something does not mean .. stands for something similar, but 33% less. Also, just because , is related to . does not mean ,,, has the same relation to ... as , does to .

Hopefully you're not retarded. Otherwise this was a waste of a good 30 seconds of my life.
